Production is underway on a motion picture based on MercyMe’s blockbuster hit, “I Can Only Imagine”
The movie, with the same name as the classic song, is said to have an all-star cast on board.The cast list includes Dennis Quaid (who just joined the cast in January 2017), Trace Adkins, Priscilla Shirer, and Cloris Leachman, among other familiar Hollywood names.

According to the website deadline, the movie is set to release sometime in spring 2018. Jon and Andrew Erwin, the Christian filmmakers who brought us October Baby, Woodlawn, and Moms’ Night Out will be in the Director’s chairs for I Can Only Imagine.
“I Can Only Imagine” became the first Christian song digital download to be certified double platinum and boosted sales of the album, Almost There, to near triple platinum.
