Single “Shelter” Gaining Adds at Radio; Headlining Tour Begins Next Weekend
NASHVILLE, TN. (September 22) Centricity Music band Carrollton is gearing up for a busy fall, with the release of a new album coming October 6 and a headlining tour beginning later this month. Produced by Scott Cash (Needtobreathe, Passion, Chris Tomlin) and the band themselves, the 10-track Everything Or Nothing has been a long-term labor of love for Carrollton.
Since their 2015 album Sunlight and Shadows, the band has been piecing together these new songs over the years, focusing on their own life experiences and those of others they met while touring. In the midst of busy schedules, countless performances, and growing families, they found themselves crafting songs that all seemed to tie back to a courageous message: full dependence on the Lord through everything. Lead singer Justin Mosteller describes how the depth of this investment brings the band great excitement for this project, which they view as their best work yet.
“This album feels like it’s taken a long time to come to fruition, but that’s where some of the beauty is,” Mosteller says. “We lived and traveled with these songs, rewriting them and reshaping them…These 10 songs are us breathing out what we feel like God’s been doing around and within us. They share a piece of the lives we’ve been living these past two years.”
The album’s first single, “Shelter,” was just released and is already receiving early praise and adds from radio listeners. The song’s bold sound represents the band’s intentional work to embody the essence of their live performances on the album tracks. And while the entire record is rooted in Carrolton’s signature indie-rock vibe and tight harmonies, they stretched themselves sonically to take listeners on a journey of unique material.
“Part of our excitement and the fun of making this album was pushing ourselves to explore different sounds and themes, while still reaching back to what makes us us,” Mosteller added. “You’ll hear some bigger sounds than we’ve ever done before. But we’ve always fought to make our music as honest as possible, and this album feels like our best attempt at that.”
They’ll share those new sounds, along with some of their tunes from previous albums, on tour this fall. The band’s Everything Or Nothing tour will run from September 28 through October 29, featuring Hannah Kerr as a guest performer.
About Carrollton: Signed to Centricity Music in 2013 Carrollton is a Christian indie-rock band known for their exceptional musicianship and powerhouse performances. Made up of Justin Mostellar (lead vocals), Jordan Bailey (bass), Michael Loy (drums), and Joel Rosseau (lead guitar), the band has released two projects through Centricity so far, Breathe In Deep, and Sunlight and Shadows. As noted in a New Release Today review describing how “their talent matches that of the best in the business and blows us away with each song,” Carrollton leaves a lasting impact on listeners with a unique, soulful sound found in both bold, driving melodies and tender acoustic tracks. Their singles “Let Love Win” and “Tell Me” made great impressions at radio, with “Let Love Win” breaking into the Top 25 on the AC Monitored and AC Indicator charts, and “Tell Me” hitting the #23 spot on NCA, #24 on AC Monitored, and #18 at AC Indicator. Having performed alongside such artists as Lauren Daigle, Jason Gray, and Finding Favour, the band headlined their first tour earlier this year and is preparing for their second one this fall. Their new album Everything Or Nothing will be released in October.
