New York Times bestselling author, speaker and podcast host Annie F. Downs is celebrating a milestone year that includes impact far beyond anything the entrepreneur could have ever imagined.
Downs recently hit 100 million downloads of her K-LOVE Fan Award nominated “That Sounds Fun” podcast, which turned double-digits in 2024. To honor a decade of the flagship show for Downs’ growing That Sounds Fun Podcast Network, the Georgia native hosted an entire weekend exclusively for fans from all over the country, who traveled to Music City for meetups, sweet treats, special guests, photo ops and even a little confetti. Downs capped the multi-day event with an unforgettable, sold-out evening at Nashville’s iconic Ryman Auditorium, where — with the help of a live house band — she curated conversations, performances and appearances by some of her dearest friends, including recording artists Lady A, Amy Grant and CAIN, author and speaker Demi-Leigh Tebow, Broadway’s Ginna Claire Mason, The Popcast’s Jamie B. Golden and Knox McCoy, and Annie and Eddie Keep Talking’s very own Eddie Kaufholz.
In addition to marking a decade of her “That Sounds Fun” podcast, Downs also exceeded 10 million downloads of her wildly popular and deeply meaningful “Let’s Read The Gospels” podcast and launched Single Purpose League, a Patreon community for anyone who is unmarried that includes a monthly podcast episode and a regular chapter meeting hosted by Downs, among other membership premiums.
Surpassing 1 million books sold this year, including her latest Let’s Read The Gospels: A Guided Journal, Downs continues to create thoughtful content that resonates with a wide audience ranging from her fellow faith sojourners down to her miniBFFs.
“I’m so thankful for the work we get to do, the people I get to do it with, and the audience we get to serve. Each one of these numbers represents friends we think about, pray for, and thank God for,” Downs reflects. “Every day of this career is a gift. I’m deeply grateful.”
As Downs puts the finishing touches on the manuscript for her next book — slated for release in 2026 — the team at AFD, Inc. is already planning an array of surprises for 2025, which will encompass new resources, fresh podcast episodes, exciting events and, as always, loads of fun.
