All Hail The QUEEN!!! Prayers and comfort to the Franklin Family as we say Good Bye to a TRUE LEGEND. My heart is overwhelmed because Mrs Aretha had such a great influence on My Musical Life. I grew up listening to her almost every day. Business Woman, Philanthropist, Mother….. her Achievements go on and on. I’m so glad I got a chance to tell her how much I love her. ???

I will always remember and love Aretha Franklin. I remember @bigjimwright making me a CD of allllllll the songs that I should listen to by Aretha because no one could groove, croon, riff, belt, kill a song like Aretha. It was the Sparkle soundtrack made in 1976 to be exact. My earlier memories are of my father having Aretha’s gospel album on vinyl. Aretha is an artist that I reference all the time because of her ability to rock a church or an arena and not change who she was. I’m so glad to have had the opportunity to sing at the White House and you blew the house down there that day. You said to me “I heard you out there carrying on” and we both laughed because I wanted to take them to church that day singing When Jesus Says Yes, but school was in session because the Queen took to the stage and showed us ALL how to “carry on!” I don’t like when legends have to leave us but “When we all get to heaven what a day of rejoicing that will be!” Rest on Ms. Aretha Franklin.
