Latin GRAMMY Award Winning Artist, Pastor Danilo Montero Celebrates
Three Decades of Ministry With New Album, Mi Viaje (My Journey)
Four years after the release of his Latin GRAMMY Award winning album La Carta Perfecta (The Perfect Letter) and after a well-deserved sabbatical, beloved singer-songwriter, author and pastor Danilo Montero returns with Mi Viaje (My Journey), available globally through Integrity Music.
Montero, the Pastor of Iglesia Lakewood in Houston, Texas, worked with Brazilian producer Thalles Roberto, himself an acclaimed recording artist and composer, for the 11-track studio album. Representing 30-plus years of Montero’s ministry and musical career, Mi Viaje includes original tracks along with new arrangements of songs treasured by Montero, his audience and churches around the world.
“Mi Viaje is a celebration of God’s faithfulness, which has taken us by the hand through different stages of life… but it’s also a song of faith for what the future will bring,” shares Montero. “The entire album is a song of worship and a commitment to God.”
After three decades, many artists might ask if they have something new to explore. Not so with Montero who says that while his message remains the same, there’s always something new to experience in the creative process.
“No matter where you are in life, there is always a miracle of God in you,” he explains. “There is always a new testimony, always a surprise that God gives you.”
A native of Costa Rica, Montero began his ministry there in 1983. Since that time, he has traveled the globe, sharing the Gospel as both a pastor and a recording artist, garnering Billboard Latin, Arpa and Latin GRAMMY Awards along the way. He is also the author of El Abrazo del Padre (The Father’s Embrace) and Generación de Adoradores (Generation of Worshippers) with Dr. Lucas Leys and Emmanuel Espinosa.
Montero is married to Colombia native, fellow pastor and speaker Gloriana Díaz. The couple and their young daughter reside in Houston, Texas, where he serves as pastor of Iglesia Lakewood, the thriving Hispanic congregation at Lakewood Church.
