18 Arenas Sold-Out For Headlining Jaunt On “HITS DEEP Tour” 2018
Nashville, Tenn. (Mar. 23, 2018) – Starting today, TobyMac’s bold music video for the knockout hit “I just need U.” is available to stream exclusively for 48-hours, only on Amazon Music. The seven-time GRAMMY® winner reunited with director Eric Welch (Carrie Underwood, Kid Rock, Mandisa) for the panoramic video filmed in the scenic Southern California desert. “I just need U.” is also available to stream on Amazon Music Unlimited, the on-demand full catalog music streaming service which offers a free 30-day trial for all new customers.
“I loved making the music video to ‘I just need U.,'” shares TobyMac. “This song is so personal and real for me. Letting go of strongholds and turning back is never easy and this storyline captured that tension. Add to that a classic convertible, wolves, things blowing up into flames… it made for some real ‘do not try this at home’ moments. I love when imagery to a song takes people on a journey.”
“I just need U.” is proving to be a soaring hit with a quick rise up the radio charts. The track is No. 1 at Hot AC, No. 2 at Christian Airplay, No. 3 at AC Indictor and No. 7 at AC Monitored following it’s late January release to radio. The early smash marked the multi-platinum selling artist’s first debut at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs Chart.
TobyMac just wrapped a headlining tour selling out arenas in 18 markets including cities like Sacramento, St. Louis, Phoenix, Denver, Grand Rapids, Minneapolis and San Antonio. Portland’s Moda Center was filled with over 11,000 during the tour stop making it the largest Christian show to ever play the arena. Helmed by TobyMac, the “HITS DEEP Tour” featured a blockbuster lineup including Danny Gokey, Mandisa, Ryan Stevenson and Finding Favour. The 2018 “HITS DEEP Tour” was a partnership with K-LOVE, Air1, Awakening Events and Food for the Hungry.
“The ‘HITS DEEP Tour’ 2018 had a little bit of everything…depth, passion, laughter, community, and purpose,” he adds. “Disa, Gokey, Ryan Stevenson, Finding Favour and rookie Aaron Cole all delivered on stage every night. Backstage felt like family from day one until the last show from crew to staff to drivers and bands! I’ve always wanted everyone to feel invited into my music as well as our shows. And playing the big arenas downtown city to city tears down walls and makes everyone feel welcome! Our partners AE, K-LOVE & Air1 and FH (KTIS & JoyFM) helped us to pack arenas with diverse listeners of all demographics!!”
