“It is an honor for SoundExchange to sponsor the Dove Awards on its momentous 45th anniversary. SoundExchange collects royalties from digital radio services like Sirius XM and Pandora on behalf of all artists and record companies, and works behind-the-scenes on behalf of everyone represented at the Dove Awards. There are countless opportunities available today for Christian andGospel artists on digital radio, and we are working to ensure this community benefits from them,” said SoundExchange President and CEO Michael Huppe. “I look forward to sharing time with the many artists and labels that will be together this week for the prestigious award ceremonies and events.”
Huppe will present some brief remarks about the importance of SoundExchange, specifically for the Christian and Gospel genres, at the pre-awards gathering Tuesday afternoon. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® returns for their second consecutive year as partners of the Dove Cares Red Carpet.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since it opened 50 years ago, and St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90 percent in the next decade. The hospital freely shares the breakthroughs it makes, so every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
“Last year’s addition of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to the Dove Cares Red Carpet experience made a lasting impression on the participating artists,” says GMA President and Executive Director Jackie Patillo. “Their presence brings an incredible energy and fresh perspective to what we all have to celebrate.”
