MXPX’s Mike Herrera and His Family were on ‘Fixer Upper’

Fans of the band MXPX recognized a familiar face on the hit HGTV home renovation show Fixer Upper this week.

Frontman of the band Mike Herrera and his wife Holli recently relocated to Waco, Texas, and when it came to finding a dream home, who else did they turn to but Chip and Joanna Gaines.

The couple helped the punk rock legend’s family find a place in a quiet neighborhood, with plenty of room for a rehearsal space and walls for hanging shiplap—all on a budget of course.

Sometimes life doesn’t seem like real life but you wake up each morning and pinch yourself and yes, this is real. @chipgaines & @joannagaines could have gotten near anyone to be on the finale of their last season of #fixerupper but they got the Herrera’s!!! ? I can’t express my gratitude for this once in a lifetime experience. Thank you! We love our new home and feel really good here. @holliherrera , the kids & I are over the moon!
