Blog Joel Smallbone Becomes a US Citizen GMA Jun 1, 2017 4:57:54 PM Luke and I have lived in the USA for a good portion of our lives..we married Americans..and have made a life here as a family.. As I took that oath of allegiance and became a citizen of this land on May 18th, I sensed I had truly come ‘home’ and was increasingly aware of the duty and responsibility of a US citizen.. So it’s with a newfound pride and humble understanding of what so many men and women have sacrificed for our country that I say, #HappyMemorialDay. God bless America.
