The 2025 BMI Christian Awards were held Tuesday night, June 17 at their Nashville office. During the evening, BMI honored the top Christian music publishers, songwriters and songs from the last year.
During the special evening, our Gospel Music Association President, Jackie Patillo, was honored with the prestigious BMI Spotlight Award. (Include link)
As the Award honoree, Jackie was celebrated for her incredible leadership, dedication to the genre, and for how she has championed the world of Christian and Gospel music. To honor Jackie in a special way, multi-Dove Award winner Natalie Grant and Bernie Herms performed her very first recording, “I Am Not Alone.”
During her speech Jackie shared with the room, “This is more than just a business. We are all making a difference and impacting culture, and that’s what we get up for every day. I don’t know that anyone really feels worthy, but I truly feel this is what amazing grace looks like.”
Some of the other notable awards from the evening include:
BMI’s Christian Song of the Year - “Praise,” written by Chris Brown, Cody Carnes, Stephen Furtick and Chandler Moore.
BMI Christian Songwriter of the Year - Jeff Pardo for writing five of the 25 most-performed songs of the year.
Publisher of the Year - Capitol CMG Publishing for representing 17 of the 25 most-performed songs of the year.
