GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame Inductee, Joe Moscheo has passed away. Few people associated with Gospel music have had such a diverse and long-standing impact on the industry as Joe. His career, which stretches over 4 decades, has run the gamut from musician to manager to songwriter to producer to author. Through the years he has worked with Elvis Presley, The Imperials, Pat Boone, The Harmoneers, BeBe & CeCe Winans, The Judds and more. Our prayers are with his family during this time.
“Our entire music community mourns the loss of Joe Moscheo. There are countless stories of artists, songwriters, producers and people like myself who came to Nashville with a dream that Joe Moscheo breathed life into with his generosity, encouragement and care. He was a three-time GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame Inductee (individual and group), a Dove Award winner and lifetime member of the Gospel Music Association board of directors. His joy was contagious, his wit was hilarious, his story-telling was fascinating, his honesty was daring and cantankerous and his big heart was always generous. Joe Moscheo will be missed but never forgotten.
Our prayers are with his family and friends.”
Jackie Patillo, President of GMA
