AT&T® Brings Together R&B And Urban Inspirational A-Listers For A Powerful Anthem of Hope, “BE THE GLOW” Uplifting Track Features Soulful Performances From Fantasia, Fred Hammond, Romeo, Earnest Pugh,
AT&T® has brought together some of the top names in urban music to create an inspiring anthem of hope entitled, “Be The Glow.” The contemporary R&B-flavored track features performances from Grammy® Award winners Fantasia, Fred Hammond and Monica. Multi-Stellar Award nominee, Earnest Pugh; BET Award winner, Marvin Sapp; and Billboard Music Award winner, Romeo, also perform on the melody. AT&T® is making the song available to the public as a complimentary digital download as an early Christmas Gift. “We want to touch, empower, and inspire people to let their lights shine in all the earth,” says AT&T’s Director of Diversity Marketing, Angela Burgin.
“Be The Glow” is a response to the ominous social climate of the world today. “In these dark, dark times we must allow our light of love to shine like never before in order to keep hope alive in our world,” Burgin says of the song which was written by noted songwriter Keith Williams, a former Minister of Music at the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA where Dr. Martin Luther King once served as pastor. Mark Jackson and Samson Logan contributed to the song as well. Michael Bereal, who has collaborated with artists ranging from Shirley Caesar and Donnie McClurkin to Deborah Cox and Heather Headley, produced the uplifting track.
“This group of artists came together on the eve of Thanksgiving full of passion and love for this project,” Burgin says of the track which carries a good will message that will reverberate and remain relevant all-year round. “They sang, laughed, fellowshipped and then sat down to have Thanksgiving dinner like one big happy family. The energy in the room was amazing and the magic that they made in the studio was beyond words.”
AT&T® is throwing a listening party at its Store of the Future (250 West 57th Street, New York, NY 10107) on Tuesday, December 12 @4-7 PM. The world-renowned Boys Choir of Harlem is scheduled to perform. Earnest Pugh, who is known for recording No. 1 radio hits such as “Rain On Us” and “I Need Your Glory, will also be on hand to sing. Veteran music producer Stanley Brown will interview Pugh about the “Be The Glow” project and moderate a Q&A session between the five-octave vocalist and the audience. “The experience has been a dream come true and sharing the stage with these amazing artists is icing on the cake,” says Pugh, who will continue promoting the campaign into the new year. “Be The Glow” is available for digital download by logging onto ATTBeTheGlow.com.
