Nashville, TN (July 13, 2021) The Gospel Music Association is pleased to announce the addition of five new members to its Board of Directors. Joining the GMA Board is Terry Hemmings / Provident Entertainment, Al Skop / SiriusXM, Tia Smith / talentedSOL Productions , Johnny Rays / Hillsong Music and Bryant Scott / TYSCOT Records. Re-elected members include Demetrus Alexander / Compassion International, Howard Gentry / Metropolitan Government of Nashville, Ed Harper / The Harper Agency, Eric Eitel / MediaShout, Mike Snider / William Morris Entertainment, Wendy Miller DeGolia / Cantinas Arts Foundation, Chris Estes / Maverick City Music and Mike Chandler / Rejoice! Musical Soul Food. The goal in adding and re-electing these esteemed professionals is to continue the GMA’s goal to Expose, Promote and Celebrate the Gospel through music.
“We believe these new members will be great additions to the Board and will help us as we continue to advocate for and celebrate our great community,” says GMA President, Jackie Patillo. “Together with the re-elected members, we have a strong Board ready to tackle the days ahead.”
Along with the addition of new Board Members, Roy Morgan is taking over as Chairman of the Board. As the co-founder of Premier Productions, one of the largest producers of live faith and family events both nationally and internationally, Roy has a true heart for Christian and Gospel music and is ready and excited to lead the GMA towards achieving new and bigger goals.
“We’ve outlined five main goals and objectives for the GMA for the next 24 months,” says Morgan. “Some of them are lofty, but we’re going to go after these goals. We’re going to stretch ourselves. We’re looking ahead to some very positive days ahead as the GMA continues to grow.”
