WME has announced the hiring of music agent Otto Price in their Christian Music Department in the Nashville office. Price joins a team of agents representing many of today’s renowned Christian and Gospel artists.
"Otto brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to WME," shares WME Nashville office Co-Heads Becky Gardenhire, Joey Lee and Jay Williams in a joint statement. "He has a deep understanding of the Christian market and will be influential in building upon the Christian Music team’s success."
With nearly three decades of experience in the entertainment industry, Price brings a wealth of expertise and a strong network of relationships to the agency. Originally hailing from Atlanta, GA, Price joins WME from Square One Creative Group where he worked as producer, arranger, composer and musician for Jimmie Allen, For King & Country, Kelly Clarkson, GRITS and others. Over the span of his career, Price actively toured with dcTalk playing bass for the well-known Christian group for nine years before transitioning into overseeing A&R for Warner Music’s Nashville Label Group, working with artists Amy Grant, Randy Travis and many others. In his role as agent at WME, Price will oversee the daily touring, television, literary, and sponsorship opportunities for top artists including Israel Houghton, Maverick City, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Kierra Sheard-Kelly and others as well as bookings in international territories.
In addition to Price's hiring, WME’s Christian Music department has signed multiple notable artists over the past year including five-time GRAMMY Award winning recording artist Brandon Lake as well as one of the biggest-selling Gospel artists of all time Kirk Franklin. WME’s strong Christian Music roster had a strong showing during awards season with Maverick City Music and Kirk Franklin walking away with seven wins in the Gospel and Contemporary Christian Music categories at this year’s GRAMMY Awards, and their 2022 Kingdom Tour is now recognized as the largest grossing tour in Christian Music history. WME clients also had notable wins at 53rdAnnual GMA Dove Awards, with Phil Wickham, Crowder, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Maverick City Music, Tauren Wells, and others taking home twelve wins, the most of any agency.
