
Over Easter weekend, The Chosen released their Season 5 theatrical debut at the box office, bringing the faith-based drama to $140 million grossed worldwide.

With the release of the official trailer, Prime Video announced Season 5 of the global phenomenon The Chosen will premiere on June 15, 2025 in the U.S. Featuring eight episodes, The Chosen: Last Supper (Season 5) will debut in three parts over three weeks, with the first two episodes premiering on June 15, followed by three episodes on June 22 and the last three episodes on June 29.

In addition to the U.S., the new season will be available on Prime Video in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Sub-Saharan Africa, UK, and Latin America in July. The Chosen Seasons 1 through 4 are now streaming on Prime Video.
The Chosen: Last Supper (Season 5) made its theatrical debut on March 28 in the U.S. and on April 11 internationally to incredible box office success, grossing nearly $60 million and counting. Later this month, The Chosen: Last Supper Parts 2 (episodes 3-5) and 3 (episodes 6-8) will be released in theatres in the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. Cumulatively, over the past three years, The Chosen’s theatrical releases have grossed nearly $140 million worldwide in 55 countries.

Earlier this year, Amazon MGM Studios inked a first-look multi-faceted deal with 5&2 Studios. The wide-ranging deal provides streaming rights to the first five seasons of The Chosen and the new unscripted series The Chosen in the Wild with Bear Grylls for Prime Video. The pact also includes theatrical and streaming rights to The Chosen’s upcoming final two seasons, which will follow the crucifixion (Season 6) and the resurrection (Season 7). Season 6 production is currently underway in the U.S. and Italy. Lionsgate handles global distribution for The Chosen and The Chosen In The Wild with Bear Grylls.
