Syntax Creative is excited to announce two new hires joining its growing team: Amanda Williams as Director of Communications and Brooke Thielen as Release Coordinator. Both bring a deep love for independent music — and the kind of curiosity and work ethic that can’t be taught.
Amanda Williams joined Syntax in May 2025. She brings a BA in Creative Writing from Gardner-Webb University, along with a decade of experience in communications and marketing strategy. Her background in Appalachian studies and Bluegrass scholarship adds both academic insight and personal resonance to her work with the Syntax roster.
“Amanda has that rare mix of being a clear thinker, a creative writer, and someone who actually cares,” said Syntax CEO Timothy Trudeau. “She’s going to help us sharpen our message without losing our soul.”
Also joining the team is Brooke Thielen, who came on board in April 2025 as Release Coordinator. A graduate of Azusa Pacific University with a Bachelor of Music, Brooke has served in A&R, Artist Services, booking, and marketing. She’s known for her thoroughness, speed, and unshakable belief in the artists she supports.
“Brooke is the kind of person you want on your team when things get chaotic,” added Trudeau. “She jumps into the mess, finds what matters, and delivers. And she does it all with heart.”
As Director of Communications, Williams will oversee company messaging, public relations, and content strategy. “I love how Syntax values storytellers and storytelling — both in the music and in how it's presented,” said Williams. “I prize that Syntax honors the visionary spirit of independent artists, and I’m looking forward to helping connect great music to the people who need to hear it.”
Thielen will coordinate audio and video deliveries, metadata verification, and release timelines — ensuring projects go live on time and error-free.
“I’ve always been passionate about helping artists stay focused on what makes them unique — the music,” said Thielen. “Syntax understands that independent doesn’t mean alone, and I’m grateful to be part of a team that leads with service and provides genuine support for artists.”
