What a privilege to declare the name of Jesus in worship and in prayer today at the White House. I was challenged, informed, convicted, and inspired at the #faithbriefing with many peers in the CCM industry. The church has a great opportunity to rise with grace and truth and to serve with love and passion and be the city on a hill we’ve been called to be.

@bencalhoun & @danielolssonworld had the most amazing day at the @whitehouse meeting the extraordinary @flotus and praying for our country and for @realdonaldtrump with other artists and friends working in @visitwashingtondc — We have felt the Holy Spirit lead us to pray about this meeting ever since we were invited a month ago. We are in a supernatural war. Eph. 6 says it best “For our struggle is not against human opponents, but against rulers, authorities, cosmic powers in the darkness around us, and evil spiritual forces in the heavenly realm.” — be in prayer with us for our leaders and for our brothers and sisters in Christ who serve here! They told us how it really is and they aren’t afraid to call on the name of Jesus either. Let’s lift our nations leaders up to the Lord together! #faithbriefing #jesussavesbro #citizenway

Yesterday I had the honor of going to the White House for a #FaithBriefing with a few other artists and worship leaders. Cody and I were honored to be invited. As I stepped foot into the White House I had to just take a moment and take it all in. I was thinking through how many great men and women have served and led in that house, have come to visit that house, have changed history inside that house. The thing that moved me the most though was the peace I felt. It wasn’t chaotic, it wasn’t heavy..it was peaceful. It’s a home. I thought that was special. In the faith briefing we heard from a few government leaders about incredible things that are going on behind the scenes that media and news never talk about. Projects to rescue victims of Human trafficking, rehabilitate former inmates, take care of foster children, help neighborhoods and communities that are falling apart, help rebuild cities after tragedy..just to name a few. I sat there with tears in my eyes because these beautiful people get up daily and go to work in a governmental facility and think about people; you and me. They pray and seek God for wisdom for people. It all seemed beyond politics – it was Kingdom. I realized there are some Kingdom minded people who work in the White House and that was extremely encouraging. I don’t engage in political jargon & conversations- but I do engage when the Holy Spirit puts a burden to pray or do whatever He has spoken and obey Him. I was moved and reminded to pray every day for our leaders and government. We won’t always see everything the same, or even agree with everything people say or do..but we are all alive on the earth for such a time as this and what if God is calling new Esthers to rise up? I’m inspired to stay leaning into the Holy Spirit for our nation and be brave to do whatever He asks, cause it could change History. Stewardship of a calling is important and this was one of those important days for me. ?

Leaving an incredible evening with folks like these at the White House with a heart filled with Praise and a genuine sense of Hope for this nation. God is in control and has people at the very top level of Government who are working day in and day out to reach people with the love of Christ, to raise up the lowly, to take care of widows and orphans, to re energize communities and faith communities all across the USA. We need to pray for this Government and unite with them in the Work they are doing. #faithbriefing

We can’t let politics stop each of us from doing our biblical part inside of the government.

The media can portray such a distorted picture of our leaders but today we prayed, worshiped and learned a bit more truth behind the scenes. Truly proud to be an American.
