Redbird Common concluded its 2024 season on November 12 with a unique event spotlighting ten of CCM’s up and coming artists. These artists, recently signed to prominent labels such as Gotee (Charly Perry, Renee), Integrity Music (Aaron Williams), Centricity Music (Band Reeves), Provident Label Group (Chris Ekiss), Red Street Records (Iveth Luna), BEC Recordings (Hunter Plake), Fair Trade Services (Jordan Janzen), Tribl Records (Dia Viola), and Hit and Run (Micah Christopher), represent the next generation of talent. “I could not think of a better way to end our best year yet!” says Founder, Rebecca Jones.
After a second season at the Williamson County Performing Arts Center, Redbird Common remains a cornerstone of Christian music, offering the flagship writers-in-the-round series that celebrates artists, songwriters and stories behind the songs. Since its founding 2017, Redbird Common has been deeply rooted in fostering community. “Exciting things are ahead as we step into year eight,” shared Jones. We are looking forward to growth, deeper connection with artists, worship gatherings, broader reach for the songs and continued generosity toward our local community.”
This year brought remarkable milestones for Redbird Common, including:
- Raising over $40,000 for The Laundry Stop and ShowerUp
- Hosting incredible artists like Matt Maher, Josh Baldwin and Mack Brock for the first time
- Producing a record number of events across the cities of Franklin and Nashville
Jones also highlighted the growing success of their sister event, In Common, a writers round dedicated to independent artists, which has been instrumental in showcasing the emerging talent in CCM. Additionally, a new partnership for Common Worship has been established with Franklin Prayer House. "We are thrilled to collaborate with them (FPH) and believe their mission aligns perfectly with ours, offering ga beautiful opportunity to gather our community in worship, “ said Jones.
