The Guatemalan band, Miel San Marcos, makes history for Latin music with a celebration of their 22-year career. It took place on July 23 with the live recording of “EVANGELIO”.
With great expectation, an audience of more than 20,000 people from different countries, such as the United States, Guatemala, Mexico, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Peru, Spain and Italy, gathered for the event that had been SOLD OUT a month before. “Our greatest desire is to give glory to the Lord and thank Him for all the people who have joined and prayed for us,” says Josh Morales, lead vocalist for Miel San Marcos.
For this occasion, the Crypto.com Arena, previously known as the Staples Center, was added to the list of iconic venues that have witnessed the band’s extraordinary productions, including Madison Square Garden in New York; The Arena CDMX and The National Auditorium in Mexico City; The Anaheim Convention Center Arena, The Microsoft Theater, and The Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California; and Luna Park in Argentina.
The night began with the presentation of “Fiesta MSM Kids”, the new and third album of the ministry’s youngest generation. Subsequently, the long-awaited recording of “EVANGELIO” took place with a set of unreleased songs and, at the same time, other original songs that have been emblematic in the history of praise and worship, such as “Danzo En El Río,” ” My Libertador,” and “Dios Es Más Grande”.
Miel San Marcos was also accompanied by their entire team of musicians and production; a choir made up of 55 performers, and special appearances by Christine D’Clario, Barak, Marcos Witt, Redimi2, Ingrid Rosario, Daniel Calveti, Coalo Zamorano, Gateway Worship Español, Oscar and Isela, and Susy Gonzalez. “We always dreamed of having an album where we collaborate with many friends that we love. We have talked about raising the name of Jesus in unity, and with this recording we have achieved it. This was not our event, it was the body of Christ.”
As a prelude, there was an emotional moment with the media, guest artists and pastors, in which the group received recognition from important entities in the music industry. Among the accolades, having reached 3.8 billion views and more than 2.2 million subscribers on their YouTube channel, as well as 1 billion official viewers, and more than 340,000 videos that have used their music to date.
Additionally, the band was recognized for being the #1 band for 5 consecutive years on the Spanish platform of Multitracks, a company that provides original stems to different churches, singers, praise teams and musicians in general. Finally, the group also received an award from the respected radio chart, monitorLATINO for “JÚBILO”, as #1 for 15 consecutive weeks on radio in more than 18 countries.
The vision behind EVANGELIO will continue on November 18 in Guatemala; on December 10 in Mexico City, and in 2023 the album’s world tour will officially begin. The tour will include humanitarian aid, provided through “Fe y Amor”, a non-profit organization of the group, which seeks to share the good news with the construction of houses and visits to hospitals, orphanages, and prisons.

El grupo guatemalteco, Miel San Marcos, marca la historia de la música hispana con una celebración por sus 22 años de trayectoria. La misma se llevó a cabo el pasado 23 de julio con la grabación de «EVANGELIO», proyecto que estará disponible próximamente para todo público.
Con gran expectativa, una audiencia de más de 20,000 personas de distintos países, como Estados Unidos, Guatemala, México, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Perú, España e Italia, logró un SOLD OUT un mes antes del evento. «Nuestro mayor anhelo es darle la gloria al Señor y agradecerle por todas las personas que se han unido y han orado por nosotros», comenta Josh Morales, vocalista de Miel San Marcos.

Asimismo, Miel San Marcos estuvo acompañado por todo su equipo de músicos y de producción; un coro conformado por 55 intérpretes, y la participación especial de Christine D’Clario, Barak, Marcos Witt, Redimi2, Ingrid Rosario, Daniel Calveti, Coalo Zamorano, Gateway Worship Español, Oscar e Isela, y Susy Gonzalez. «Siempre soñamos con tener un álbum en el que compartiéramos con muchos amigos que amamos. Hemos hablado sobre levantar el nombre de Jesús en unidad, y con esta grabación lo logramos. Este no fue nuestro evento, fue del cuerpo de Cristo».
Como antesala, se vivió un emotivo momento con medios de comunicación, artistas invitados y pastores, en el que el grupo recibió algunos reconocimientos por parte de importantes entidades de la industria de la música. Entre ellos, haber alcanzado 3,800 millones de reproducciones y más de 2.2 millones de suscriptores en su canal de YouTube, así como 1,000 millones de espectadores oficiales y más de 340,000 videos que han utilizado su música hasta la fecha.
Adicionalmente, un reconocimiento por ser la banda #1 durante 5 años consecutivos en la plataforma en español de Multitracks, compañía que provee secuencias a distintas iglesias, cantantes, equipos de alabanza y músicos en general. Finalmente, el grupo también recibió un galardón de monitorLATINO por posicionarse con su tema, «JÚBILO», como #1 durante 15 semanas consecutivas en radios de más de 18 países.
La visión de EVANGELIO continuará el próximo 18 de noviembre en Guatemala; el 10 de diciembre en la Ciudad de México, y en el 2023 comenzará oficialmente la gira mundial del proyecto. Durante la misma, se brindará ayuda humanitaria por medio de «Fe y Amor», organización sin fines de lucro de la agrupación, la cual busca compartir las buenas nuevas con la construcción de viviendas y visitas a hospitales, orfanatos y cárceles.
