Miami, Florida (January 5, 2021) – The undeniable magnetism of a family that has an impact on the popular scene in Latin America is reflected in “Amén,” a song written, produced, and performed by all its members, Ricardo Montaner, Evaluna Montaner, Mau and Ricky, and Camilo. Respecting the musical style of each one and taking different elements throughout the song in the composition, lyrics and intention, Amén is produced by Richi López and Montaner, one of the most recognized singer-songwriters in the entire Spanish-speaking world.
Based on the sound of the track made by López and the participation in the melodies of all the voices, “our love and mutual admiration are reflected in this song,” Camilo comments. “Amén is a timeless ballad relevant to any situation of pain and hopelessness that a person may be experiencing,” shares Ricky Montaner.
The song was written long before the global pandemic, but, in the words of Mau Montaner, the release happens at the perfect time. Amén carries a message of hope at the same time that it reflects deep anguish, a feeling that many live under normal circumstances, and even more during this season of isolation and uncertainty.
Montaner proposed the chorus for this emblematic musical theme one morning during a family breakfast in his house. “Amén is a universal word that means the same in all languages, the word that unites everything. When you believe with certainty in something you say ‘Amén’,” says Montaner.
The video was filmed under the direction of Marlene Montaner, making the visual production a family affair as well. Done in a single take, the video carries a simple and sober aesthetic with an incomparable visual force, in which each artist radiates light and transmits her intention in the interpretation.
The single was released on December 23, 2020 and is already touching the souls of many people who are going through moments of doubt and anguish, because as Evaluna Montaner says, “this song is the perfect vehicle to ask for help.”
Amén is available on all digital platforms and the video is on Ricardo Montaner’s official YouTube channel.
