The Briner Institute announced today that James Tealy, an accomplished songwriter and music publisher with extensive Nashville experience, has joined the organization as Senior Director of Partner Engagement. In this role, Tealy will oversee strategic growth initiatives by developing and maintaining partnerships across the entertainment industry and academic sectors.
As a member of the Briner Institute's leadership team, Tealy will be responsible for establishing and maintaining networks within the entertainment industry to identify growth opportunities and forge strategic partnerships that advance the Institute's mission.
"It's an honor to join a community so deeply committed to advancing the vision of Bob Briner—a leader whose call for Christian individuals, organizations, and institutions to help shape a values-driven content infrastructure in the entertainment world still resonates powerfully today," said Tealy. "For nearly two decades, the Briner Institute has empowered and educated Christian creatives to make a lasting cultural impact, and I'm excited to help deepen that impact through meaningful partnerships and collaboration across a variety of industries."
Since joining the Institute last fall, Tealy has already made significant contributions to the organization's mission. He served as editor for the new edition of "Roaring Lambs" and participated in a comprehensive fundraising intensive at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University in February. The specialized training enhanced his expertise in institutional readiness, earned income strategies, private foundation support, and grant management.
The Briner Institute, founded to honor the legacy of Bob Briner, continues its mission of empowering Christian creatives to make meaningful cultural impact through values-driven content creation and strategic industry engagement.
