This past May 23, Gateway Worship Español recorded their new album live at the Gateway Church’s main campus in Dallas, Texas. This long-awaited project features a lineup of brand-new songs and official translations by their English team, Gateway Worship.
The songs, produced by Kyle Lee, keep a contemporary congregational groove from their community, throwing in some hints of genres like pop and urban. Among the motifs and themes of the heartfelt lyrics are joy, freedom, healing, holiness, and the blood of Christ, along with His goodness and love.
The event brought together representatives from different countries, including the United States, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia, Venezuela, and Brazil, showcasing remarkable cultural diversity.
This array of nationalities converged courtesy of the collaboration of renowned artists, all valued members of the Gateway Worship Español collective. In their midst were Josh Morales and Luis Morales from Miel San Marcos, Julissa, Travy Joe, Daniel Calveti, Jacobo Ramos, Becky and Julián Collazos, Coalo Zamorano, and Arthur Callazans.
A truly memorable moment from the night was the active involvement of the rising generation, who joined their parents on stage. Among these young talents were Waleska Morales, Nicole Morales, Matthew Morales, Alyrah Rivera, Daniela Calveti, Natan Calveti, Paloma Ramos, and Rebeca Zamorano.
The event concluded with an emotional surprise for the collective and attendees, with heartfelt words shared by some pastoral team members, David Thomson, Mark Harris, Hope Adams, and Josiah Funderburk. Subsequently, Gateway Worship Español was awarded a platinum record for their song “Danzando” by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America). This official certification recognized their global success, reaching 150 million streams solely in the United States territory.
The celebration also highlighted the song's continued position in the top 10 of Spanish-language radio for 107 weeks, spanning over 18 countries, according to MonitorLATINO.
