Following the launch of WieRok Entertainment Group’s flagship label, WieRok Records, earlier this year, the Franklin, Tennessee-based company is emerging as a multi-genre recording, publishing and artist development conglomerate with its latest strategic moves—the acquisition of Amplo Records and the reveal of a new general market imprint, Wie3 Records.
Amplo Records, originally established in partnership with WieRok Entertainment Group founders Lance & Tammie Wieland and Christian music industry veterans Marcus Rixon and Jay Speight, now brings acclaimed singer/songwriter Nathan Sheridan, noted songwriters Phoebe Scott and Kolby Koloff, and songwriters/producers Andrew Barlow and Cole Tague under the sole purview of WieRok Entertainment.
“This acquisition marks a significant milestone for WieRok and reflects the natural evolution of our vision and partnership,” says Lance Wieland, cofounder of WieRok Entertainment Group. “In Latin, ‘amplo’ means ‘to amplify,’ and this definition underscores our purpose: to increase impact for all our artists. We are deeply grateful to Marcus and Jay for their invaluable contributions to Amplo, and we are excited to continue collaborating with them in new ways.”
In addition, WieRok Entertainment Group announces its expansion into the general market with the launch of Wie3 Records and the signing of Nashville-based “popera” vocalist David Ask. A classically trained tenor and sought after performer on some of the country’s most prestigious stages, Ask’s latest single, “Open Arms (Inglese E Italiano)," a groundbreaking bilingual arrangement of Journey's classic hit, will be available on streaming platforms April 25.
“It’s an exciting season for WieRok Entertainment Group as we expand in new directions while remaining steadfastly committed to artist development and innovation,” adds Wieland. “In both the Christian and general markets, we want to support artists and songwriters in spreading their messages and inspiring listeners, all while delivering high-quality music to audiences worldwide.”
The company's premier label, WieRok Records, launched in January with the signing of chart-topping singer/songwriter Sean Rodriguez and the release of his debut EP, Jesus Will. Catapulted into the spotlight in 2023, Rodriguez has amassed more than 7 million streams across major platforms in three years.
In addition, WieRok Records recently welcomed husband/wife duo Grace + Max, whose latest single, "Jesus Cares," bowed earlier this month. The label has also inked exclusive publishing agreements with songwriters Karin Simmons and Madaline Garcia, as well as writers/producers Greg "GREGATRON" Williams, Daniel Macal (Sidewalk Prophets) and Tyler Moody.
