Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI®) presented its 2024 BMI Christian Awards for the Christian Songwriters, Song, and Publisher of the Year on June 18th Essential Music Publishing (EMP) was named Publisher of the Year during this annual event.
"Thank you to BMI for the opportunity to shine a light on this group of songwriters and the Essential publishing team," shares Jamie Rodgers, VP of Essential Music Publishing. "It’s always an honor to stand alongside them as these songs and their hard work are recognized. We couldn’t be more proud of this team."
This year Essential Music Publishing was named Publisher of the Year, as they are responsible for 12 of the 25 most-performed songs of the year including "Cornerstone,” “God Is in This Story,” “Heart of God,” “Holy Forever,” “I Thank God,” “I’m So Blessed,” “Perfectly Loved,” “Same God,” “Thank God I Do,” “Then Christ Came,” “This Is Our God” and “Who I Am.”
During the special celebration, BMI named the top 25 most-performed Christian songs including first-time BMI winner Bryan Fowler and David Leonard. Songwriters, including Ethan Hulse, Jason Ingram, Jonathan Smith, and Steven Furtick, were recognized for multiple songs. See a complete list of Essential Music Publishing winners below.
