The mission of Christian Music Broadcasters (CMB) is to encourage, engage, and equip members to impact their community for Christ. CMB’s vision is to grow to 600 members who are a community inspiring it’s 50 million listeners to a closer relationship with Christ.
CMB announces changes to the Board of Directors for 2021. After faithfully serving CMB for the past three, challenging years, Jason Sharp’s term as Chairman of the Board is ending. “Jason Sharp has been an integral part of CMB since the beginning. His service over the past three years as Board Chair have greatly impacted our industry, especially walking through such unprecedented, turbulent times. We are incredibly grateful for his long-lasting contribution. CMB is better because of Jason Sharp,” says Michelle Younkman, CMB Executive Director. Jason will remain on the Board in 2021 to finish out his second, four-year term.
Additionally, Grant Hubbard rolls off the Board after serving two, four-year terms. Younkman says, “Grant’s commitment to CMB has significantly strengthened our community. We are grateful to him for the incredible investment he has made with CMB. Our industry is stronger because of Grant’s service.” The CMB Board voted Encouragement Media Group’s (KVNE) President/CEO, Troy Kriechbaum, to fill the vacant seat, while John Owens was voted to serve a second, four-year term.
The CMB Board of Directors is proud to announce that Sandi Brown, President of KJLY/KPVR, has been voted in as CMB Chair. Bill Sammons, President/GM of WKNZ, assumes the Vice Chair seat and Janet Cherry, COO of K-LOVE & Air1, is the new Secretary.
In addition to the directors previously named, the 2021 CMB Board of Directors is made up of the following radio industry professionals: Matt Austin (KCBI), Scott Herrold (SOS), Chris Lemke (WCSG), Joe Paulo (KSBJ), Todd Stach (WayFM), and Michelle Younkman (CMB).
