Tour Supported Children in Foster Care
in Collaboration with America’s Kids Belong

Nashville, TN (May 15, 2018) – Grammy® winner Chris Tomlin wrapped his Worship Night In America Tour (WNIA) over the weekend in North Little Rock, Arkansas gathering over 175,000 to attend shows during its six-week run. In each of the tour’s cities, Chris continued his work with national non-profit America’s Kids Belong by offering his time to meet with church and community leaders seeking their help to end the foster care and adoption crisis. The gatherings brought together over 500 Mayors, business leaders, child-welfare executives, state legislators, faith leaders and Governors.
“I have always felt my life’s mission was to give people the tools to worship God,” shared Chris. “I try to write songs that are a resource for people and the church. I consider it an honor to have been able to use the music and the tour as a way to gather and spread the mission of America’s Kids Belong. Together we can do great things.”
Kim Walker Smith of Jesus Culture, Matt Maher, Christine D’Clario, Tauren Wells and Pat Barrett joined Chris for the duration of each show on the Worship Night In America Tour. Pastor/author Darren Whitehead served as the guest speaker.
The tour was applauded by reviewers with one touting ‘the event was truly unique as there wasn’t an opening band or set times. The effect of this was unity between different artists with varying styles as they joined together with a hunger for God and His Presence.’
