GRAMMY-Award winning artist Chris Tomlin joined CMA Fest in Nashville on Sunday morning as the final “CMA Artist of The Day” slot. Tomlin was the first-ever Christian genre artist asked to be a part of the CMA Close Up Stage line-up, coming alongside the other featured Artists of The Day, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan and Russell Dickerson. Tomlin held an hour-long set at Music City Center, where festival goers were able to hear stories behind some of his biggest songs, learn about his journey into music, and together filled the space with worship.
“To start the day with an hour of worship music at CMA Fest is a moment I will never forget,” shared Chris. “God has continued to do things I would have never imagined… and I am so excited to see how He uses these new songs of worship, releasing on 9/9… My prayer for these songs is that people are reminded Jesus is the same yesterday, now, and always.”
Today, Tomlin is announcing the release of his next full-length project, “Always”, coming September 9th. The title track was released to Christian radio in May and made its live debut on the TomlinUNITED tour, a Pollstar Top 10 Worldwide tour. The official live video for “Always” was filmed live from his annual “Good Friday Nashville” concert event and premiered exclusively with Facebook.
This week, as one of the most successful Christian touring artists, Tomlin will wrap up the second leg of the TomlinUNITED tour. The live worship experience will have made stops in the biggest markets across the country. Chris recently set a career attendance record with the unprecedented concert at LA’s Banc of California Stadium. Chris shares every night, “there is nothing like the sound of the people of God, singing the praises of God, in the presence of God.”
