These are the beautiful flowers I bought Aimee yesterday but didn’t get to take in her room ? We are overwhelmed and blown away by the love, support, and prayers that you all have sent our way. Keep praying! Here’s a quick update I wrote earlier: The update so far for today: Aimee is in a lot of pain in her head. They have given her meds for it but nothing will completely help. They say the pain is going to be there. Eventually as the blood from the rupture leaves her brain it will work it’s way down to the neck and then her back. She’s getting a lot of rest- unfortunately, it’s usually only about 10 minutes of uninterrupted time with all the doctor and nurse visits and the alarms and beeps from the monitors. She hasn’t eaten in probably 36 hrs or so. Pray that her appetite starts to return so that she’ll get the strength to start moving a little bit. All signs are good so far. There doesn’t seem to be any negative neurological signs yet for physical or mental deficiencies. Thanks for your love and prayers! @macandaimee #pray4aimee

Sometimes a picture CAN tell a thousand words. This sweet moment just happened tonight. Not sure who’s idea it was but I’m glad it happened. Our sweet @camielovep comes down every night to snuggle with me and Aimee on the couch and she wasn’t going to let a trip to the intensive care unit stop her tonight. Today’s update: we slept good through the night only to find that yesterday’s pain only intensified in Aimee’s head throughout much of the day. Yesterday was supposed to be the hardest day and Today said “Oh yeah! Check this out!” A little bit more moaning and groaning than the past couple of days. However, once we were past midday things seemed to be getting a little better. We were able to have clearer and longer conversations today. I felt at one time today “There’s my Aimee coming back to me!” Visits from some sweet friends and family helped and encouraged us- reminding us that there is NOTHING like close friends and family. We are OVERWHELMED by the encouragement and love we are receiving. We hear and feel your prayers. The calls, texts, and posts have made me tear up quite a few times. She will most likely be here for a couple weeks. The pain is not going away soon. But there is so much to be thankful for. Because of some caring helpers I was able to have a bit of a normal routine this afternoon in picking up BC from school, going to Emmanuel’s basketball game, having dinner with the kids, and reading to and kissing the little ones goodnight. Unfortunately, Aimee is not able to do those normal things for a while. But we are confident that because of the great prayers and support that we are getting- we’ll be able to get that snuggle time with Camie Love back on the couch soon!

Today did not start off very well. Although Aimee felt pretty good throughout parts of the night, she woke up shortly after 6am with the worst headache she’s had since before leaving our house in an ambulance. She gave this one a 9 or 10 on the pain chart. (The one at the house she gave a 1,000) This headache came fast and furious. Her nurse quickly gave her meds that eventually helped a lot. It wasn’t exactly how we had hoped to start the day. After getting the headache under control, a nurse shift change, a couple cat naps and lots of doctors, aids, nurse practitioner and nurses checking on her, she’s feeling better. Physical therapy helped her go on a walk around the neurology floor. Appetite is still pretty low but she’s eating a few bites here and there. Things are looking up and the outlook remains positive! Thx again for all the prayers and support! #pray4aimee

Much better morning. Sweet visit from one of our pastors before her daily brain ultrasound. Nurse practitioner insisted she eat chick fil a #1 for lunch. Her sister Dorie brought it to her. She tried but only got several bits down of her sandwich and maybe 4-5 fries. Just still not hungry. Today she had her first spell of feeling “fuzzy”. They are going to look into what that’s about. Each day has been more positive than the day before. So encouraged that she has passed her physical and occupational therapy tests, along with speech and throat. She is in great medical hands and both Aimee and the kids are surrounded with family and friends. Aimee encouraged me to go on the NewSong Very Merry Christmas tour. I am headed to the second show of the tour now (missed the first one that was Sunday). Please continue to #pray4aimee
