Marvin Sapp Performs on NPR Tiny Desk, Video Hits One Million Views in Two Weeks

When Marvin Sapp was booked to close out NPRs Black History Month programming with a Tiny Desk Concert, there was an expectation that it would be a big cultural moment, but the set is outperforming what anyone could have imagined. In just two weeks, Marvin Sapp’s Tiny Desk Concert amassed 1 million views, and continues to be a viral sensation on social media. Additionally, the set was the 12^th most viewed video on YouTube only hours after it debuted.

“This is surreal,” says Sapp. “I’m just soaking in the fact that people are responding so much to this Tiny Desk Concert. I had a lot of fun doing it and was honored by the invitation. Still, this response is beyond my wildest imagination.”

Sapp's performance which debuted on the NPR Music Youtube channel on  Friday, February 28, 2025, features some of his most popular hits hits that span more than three decades in music and ministry.
