The Gospel Music Association (GMA) is pleased to announce the GMA Mentorship Program. Designed to develop and encourage young industry professionals, the program was established as an investment in the future leaders of the Christian and Gospel music industry. The GMA Mentorship Program will pair music business professionals who are in the first half of their career (ages 35 and under) with more experienced industry executives.
Mentees with a desire to learn and grow professionally through mentorship, networking, and learning should apply to be matched with a mentor at gospelmusic.org/mentorship. The application period opens on March 15th, 2024 and will close April 15th, 2024.
The GMA Mentorship Program was developed in partnership with longtime industry professional Tamara Moore. "I’ve been blessed to have mentors throughout my career that poured into me as I grew and developed in our industry,” Moore says. “I’m excited to be part of the team offering that opportunity for generations to come.”
“As our industry looks to the future, we recognize how vital it is that we support and invest in the next generation of executives,” says Justin Fratt, GMA Executive Vice President. “We have so many smart, creative young people coming up in our community and we want to equip them to go further faster. I’m grateful to Tamara for partnering with the GMA on this vision.”
The GMA Mentorship Program is part of a larger initiative by the GMA to serve and develop its Young Professionals community. In partnership with the YP Committee, the GMA offers a variety of activities designed to facilitate networking and education opportunities to industry professionals 35-and-under.
