Hillsong UNITED was honored with their first American Music Award (AMA) during Sunday night’s broadcast on ABC. 2016 marked the third consecutive nomination for the multi-platinum selling band in the Favorite Artist – Contemporary Inspirational category.
Hillsong UNITED’s 2013 release of Zion garnered RIAA Gold Certification, totaling more than 500K in sales. Of the songs found on Zion is “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)” which spent a record breaking 45 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs Chart and was the first Christian song to hit Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart. Most recently, the platinum selling song was honored with a 2016 Billboard Music Award for “Top Christian Song.”
Incorporating breathtaking imagery from Israel, platinum-selling Hillsong UNITED will debut Of Dirt And Grace – Live From The Land available from July 15 – a LIVE visual take on songs from their best selling record EMPIRES. The Beatitudes served as the essence and inspiration for their 2015 release, leading to the band’s aspiration to film where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount along with additional Biblically historic locations in and around Jerusalem and the areas surrounding the Sea of Galilee, the empty tomb near Golgotha and more.
