The NQC and SGMA have announced a new partnership to present the inaugural SGMA Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Benefit Concert to be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 during the afternoon at the LeConte Convention Center in Pigeon Forge, TN.
Clarke Beasley – Executive Vice President, NQC – took the stage during the NQC Spring Break Event at First Baptist Sevierville, TN to make a special announcement that Bill Gaither would be returning to NQC 2017. The 60th Anniversary of NQC – Gospel music’s largest annual event – will feature appearances by the Gaither Vocal Band and the Homecoming Sing-Along on Thursday. The appearances mark a return for Gaither after a 3 year absence at the convention.
Ed Harper, iconic Gospel music industry veteran, received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Honor from the SGMG (Southern Gospel Music Guild) today, Tuesday, September 27, 2016, during a reception at the 2016 National Quartet Convention in Pigeon Forge, TN. Mr. Harper is the president of The Harper Agency, an elite booking agency for Gospel music artists.
During a press conference today, the board of directors of NQC (National Quartet Convention) and the LeConte Center at Pigeon Forge announced a five-year contract extension that keeps gospel music’s largest annual event in Pigeon Forge through 2021.
