Multi-platinum selling MercyMe’s chart-topping radio single “Even If” dominated the Billboard and Mediabase radio charts with a 19-week streak at No. 1. The resonance of the song has also continued to place it at No. 1 on the iTunes® Christian chart for multiple weeks.
MercyMe’s LIFER earned debut placements across multiple charts, including No. 10 on the Billboard Top 200 and No. 1 on Billboard Christian Album Charts. Throughout the street week of the album, LIFER sat atop the iTunes Christian Chart, while hitting No. 2 on the overall iTunes and Amazon Music Charts. LIFER also pulled in No. 1s internationally, garnering the highest chart placement on the iTunes Christian & Gospel Albums Chart in India, Singapore, Switzerland, United Kingdom and Italy. The GRAMMY® nominees latest chart topper follows a string of top releases for the band, including 2014’s RIAA Gold Certified Welcome To The New.
Multi-platinum selling MercyMe returns with LIFER, available worldwide today. MercyMe performed an album release show at New York City’s iconic The Town Hall last night where Fair Trade Services surprised the band with plaques honoring “Greater” receiving Gold certification in digital download sales and an additional plaque for their latest single, “Even If,” hitting number one on the Christian singles track chart.
“Even If,” the first single from GRAMMY® nominated MercyMe’s awaited new album LIFER (Mar. 31) skyrocketed into its first week at radio, earning 74 adds across format and is already #13 on the Billboard National Christian Audience chart. Mirroring the excitement at radio, “Even If” also shot to No. 1 on the iTunes Christian chart. Adding to their two nominations, including Artist of the Year for the 2017 K-LOVE Fan Awards, the fan-voted awards show exclusively debuted a lyric video for the song through their social networks.
On the heels of their RIAA Certified Gold and GRAMMY® acclaimed Welcome To The New (2014), MercyMe will release LIFER (FAIR TRADE SERVICES) on Mar. 31, 2017. The core of LIFER is the question of what it looks like to live as followers of Christ that are committed for life. With 2014’s Welcome To The New, MercyMe spoke to the grace and celebrated new life that Christ offers us in entering into faith. With their newest record, MercyMe writes about what it means to live out that faith as a “lifer” in the kingdom of God.
