BET Networks announced today that it will air a one-hour special from the “The Super Bowl Gospel Celebration” on Super Bowl Sunday, February 1, 2015. Co-hosted by actress Holly Robinson Peete and retired NFL quarterback Rodney Peete, the gospel musical special will premiere on BET at 10:00 a.m.* and on Centric at 2:00 p.m.*. The 16th annual concert event has become a Super Bowl weekend favorite and has taken place in the host city of the Super Bowl football championship game since its launching in 1999.
BEC Recordings’ artist and author Manafest was awarded his fourth career JUNO nomination earlier this week for his 2014 release The Moment. The album was nominated for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year. The 44th annual JUNO Awards will be broadcast on CTV from First Ontario Centre in Hamilton, Ontario on Sunday, March 15, 2015.

K-LOVE has recently named Joe Paulo as Director of Pledge Drives and Donor Communications. Prior to this new role Paulo was Director of Broadcasting at WRCM and WMHK (part of Columbia International University) for the past 6 years and managing WRCM since 2000.
At a press conference at The Franklin Theatre outside of Nashville this evening, K-LOVE announced the nominees for the third annual K-LOVE Fan Awards Show to take place on May 31, 2015. K-LOVE – the leading Christian music radio network with a weekly listenership of over 14 million people – will once again bring the only fan-voted award show in Christian music history to the Grand Ole Opry House in Music City. The show will be the pinnacle event of the K-LOVE Fan Awards Weekend and Ultimate Fan Experience, which includes tickets to the Awards show, a three-night stay at Opryland, dinner with the K-LOVE staff and friends, a weekend kick-off concert, a late night event, two breakfasts, encouraging speakers, access to the K-LOVE Fan Zone and more.
A celebration of Andraé Crouch’s life will take place on Tuesday, January 20th and Wednesday, January 21st at West Angeles Church of God In Christ, located at 3600 Crenshaw Blvd in Los Angeles, California. Both services will be open to the public.
The Gospel Music Association celebrates the life and legacy of Lari Goss who passed away on January 10 at the age of 70. Goss was a twelve-time Dove Award winner and an inductee into the GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame.

Central City Productions today announced that stand-up comedian turned television personality, David Mann, multiple Stellar Award winner, Tamela Mann, and syndicated radio personality Rickey Smiley (Dish Nation), will collaborate to co-host the 30th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards. The annual salute to Gospel music, The Stellar Awards will be held at its new location, the Las Vegas Orleans Arena on Saturday, March 28, 2015. The Awards and Pre-show will both be held in the Orleans Showroom. The show will air in broadcast syndication on 150 stations in over 125 markets around the country from April 12 through May 3, 2015 and on the TV One network on Easter Sunday, April 5.

Today marks the fifth year anniversary of the earthquake that shook Haiti to the brink of destruction. The Hands & Feet Project, which provides family-style residential care and sustainable solutions that fight against Haiti’s orphan crisis, remembers that very day quite well. Their co-founder and Executive Director, Mark Stuart (pictured to the far right), was in Haiti and experienced the earthquake first-hand. “The magnitude of the quake was so big, it felt as if the mountain that our Children’s Village was nestled against, was going to crumble on top of us. Although we were safe, we quickly realized that beyond the walls of our little village, our neighbors were facing unimaginable losses. The three-story hotel down the street had been flattened, the local hospital had collapsed, and school buildings were now in piles of rubble. The loss of life was staggering.
